  • 6 ‏chicken thighs, boneless skinless, cut into pieces
  • 2 cloves, crushed ‏garlic
  • 1/4 cup ‏apple juice
  • 1/3 cup ‏splenda brown sugar, unpacked
  • 1 tsp ‏red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp ‏ground ginger
  • 2 tbsp ‏ketchup
  • 1 tbsp ‏apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup ‏soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup ‏water
  • 1 1/2 oz (3 tbsp) ‏bourbon
  • 1 tbsp ‏corn starch

directions

  1. in a large skillet; cook chicken pieces until lightly browned.
  2. Remove chicken.
  3. Add remaining ingredients, heating over medium heat until well blended and dissolved.
  4. Add chicken and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes uncovered.
